The theoretical part of DIP involves interns of 20Formation to write an action research paper for the Research Production Path 2A. An action research is a disciplined process of inquiry conducted by and for those taking the action with the primary goal of encouraging continued reflection and making improvement. Action research provides an opportunity to explore the effectiveness of a particular strategy or technique in any professional field.
Action research is a cyclical process and the steps include formulating the research question based on the identified problem, devising an action plan with strategies to improve and/or refine practice, supporting the strategies through literature review, implementing them at their workplace, gathering data and evidence to support them and finally observing and reflecting upon the process. Researchers who engage in action research inevitably find it to be an empowering experience.
